I don’t recommend Serhan Derin because he can be deceptive. I sent inspiration photo to his assistant before my first nose surgery and was assured similar shape would be achieved, which was the result I paid for. My first surgery in March 2023 resulted in a completely different shape. He did changes to my nose without my knowledge and consent, such as very sharp nose tip and too thin bridge, even though I wanted a rounded nose tip like shown in the inspiration photo. My nostrils also turned out visibly different in size. I got the complete opposite of what I wanted. Making changes without the patients consent is a very serious violation of medical ethics. The surgery was a complete failure.Despite the severe harm it caused me, the issue was blamed on swelling even 7 months post-op. His deceptive assistant referred to my nose shape as "initial appearance," claiming it was too swollen and would change over time, even though it was 7 months after surgery. So that clearly seemed to be deceptive communication, intended to silence me so responsibility gets avoided. It’s awful how untrustworthy and deceptive they are.After lots of effort and mentioning legal action, he accepted revision. At consultation, instead of admitting his huge mistakes he tried to cover for it by saying such as “doing surgery is not the same as doing a haircut” as if that justified that he did big changes to my nose without my knowledge and consent.The outcome of the second surgery which was in February also failed to meet my expectations. The nosebridge was curved instead of straight, which wasn’t what was shown in the inspiration photo. The nostrils are still uneven, and the tip is still not quite as I wanted. Overall, the shape does not resemble the inspiration photo.Based on my experience, due to his failure to deliver agreed-upon results and lack of accountability, I strongly advise against choosing him. Below are photo evidence from chat, proving I’m right.This is an update to my review. The public response to my review could give the impression that they accept negative feedback and are committed to helping, but that’s not what happened privately.Nothing was done for me and instead I got excuses, even though there are several issues with my nose. The image of Serhan Derin and arpanu medical agency which they publicly show, is far from their reality. I was also threatened with legal action for refusing to delete my truthful reviews. The supervisor used intimidation tactic, which was an unprofessional and aggressive approach. This is how they handle negative feedback by privately trying to scare people into deleting their reviews. The supervisor also tried to fool me into thinking that the law doesn't care about malpractice, his attempt failed.In the same message where he threatened me, he also claimed to have made an effort to offer a solution, which never happened. It's not considered normal at all for a surgeon to say similar shape will be achieved, then deliver a completely different shape. What he did to me is shocking. Even in severe cases of malpractice, don’t expect him to take any responsibility unless you get serious about traveling to Turkey to sue him.This whole rhinoplasty experience has been like a living nightmare and traumatizing. I’ll also share evidence of the supervisor’s empty threat below.
I had surgery on October 24th, and before choosing Dr. Serhan, I reached out to friends from Istanbul for recommendations on the best surgeon. My procedure wasn’t only for appearance; I also had issues with breathing on my right side, so finding a highly skilled doctor was essential.If you're looking for a doctor who truly knows his work, Dr. Serhan is absolutely the right choice. He is a highly skilled specialist who listens carefully and takes all your wishes for your nose into account. I couldn't be happier with the results; my nose looks very natural, which was incredibly important to me.The staff was also wonderful. Post-op consultant Bahar was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting me with anything I needed. I could always reach out to Bahar, Selen, or the medical staff at the hotel for anything I needed, which made the entire process much easier.The clinic was spotless and professionally managed. There’s really nothing negative I can say. Thank you so much to Dr. Serhan and the whole team for their help and kindness!
I can’t praise Dr Serhan Derinand his team enough, from start to finish I was very much looked after and the support before and after surgery was brilliant. Dr Serhan is an amazing surgeon I was so pleased with the results of my surgery, I was very insecure about my nose and it made me very miserable, but now I can hold my head up high, I’m so happy and it’s changed my life, I can be me again. My experience with Dr. Serhan Derin and his whole team was amazing from start to finish. I’m so pleased with my results and the care I received. I’m so happy I chose Dr Serhan, he is the best at what he does. I was lucky enough to have no pain, bruising or swelling whatsoever after my septorhinoplasty so was able to explore the beautiful city of Istanbul in the days after. It was such an easy experience as the team arranged the hotel and all the transfers from airport to hotel and hotel to clinic and back again, and also provide a translator.
